Recently I’ve been addicted to this Japanese anime “Eye shield 21”. I was not interested about American football once but after following episodes of this anime, my interest gained and now I’m dreaming to be an American football player my self. Weird!!! Well here’s a little something about this anime…

Eye shield 21 is an exciting story of a boy named  Sena Kobayakawa, a weak and sensitive boy who has a remarkable speed and intense agility, who became the fastest running back of  American Football in Japan. He gained those abilities as a result of his school life spent complying with the demands of bullies. Sena enters the world of American football with his helmet and green-tinted eye-shield and known as “Eye Shield 21”,  a light-speed fast running back from Notre Dame High.

At the beginning of the series, the club has only three members, Yoichi Hiruma, Musashi Takekura and Ryokan Kurita, who are joined by Sena Kobayakawa, codename “Eyeshield 21”. Over the course of the series, the Devil Bats acquire new members and gradually improve as they move toward their goal of playing in the Christmas Bowl, the high school American football championship of Japan.

The Deimon Devil Bats (Character Info)

Sakaki Doburoku

He was a coach to Hiruma, Musashi, and Kurita, and taught them how to play American football. Doburoku loves drinking sake; he has many different gourds, all of which look the same, but each contains a different kind of alcoholic beverage.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Hiruma Yōichi

  • Position: Quarterback
  • Jersey: 1
  • 3rd Year Student (Grade 12)

The twisted and tactician quarterback of the Devil Bats, who is more complex than his devilish face and personality may suggest. He carries multiple firearms at all times and often pulls them out at random in order to threaten others in a comical flurry of bullets. Despite this front of a violent and dangerous hoodlum, Hiruma is a genius in maverick trick plays and mind games, both on and off the field.

Special Moves

  • Devil Laser Bullet – A high speed pass Hiruma throws that resembles a laser.
  • Wishbone – A play conducted by Hiruma where the offense all run forward and block, or pass, for whoever has the ball.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Sena Kobayakawa a.k.a Eyeshield 21

  • Position: Running Back
  • Jersey: 21
  • 1st Year Student

Initially a bullied gopher, his speed was discovered by Hiruma as he was literally forced into joining the football team at Deimon. While insecure and clumsy at heart, Sena matures over the course of the series as he soon grows to love the game he plays and becomes an accomplished football player through his own strength and the guidance of his friends and rivals.  He has the ability to run the Speed of Light Pace at will.

Special Moves

  • Speed of Light Pace – The ability to run 40 yards in 4.2 seconds.
  • Super Speed of Light Pace – The ability to run 40 yards in 4.1 seconds.
  • Devil bat Ghost – The ability to disillusion the opponent into thinking that he is in front of them.
  • Multiple Ghost – Creating 3-5 multiple ghosts to confused several players.
  • Devil bat Dive – Jumping over the opponent and then spinning down like a rocket into the end zone.
  • Devil bat Hurricane – Spinning around an opponent when using the ‘Devil bat Ghost’.
  • Devil bat Stun-Gun – Even without much arm strength, using his speed as power Sena can strike the enemy hard with his arms. Combos with Ghost on offense.
  • Fourth Dimension Run – Running straight at the opponent and taking a step back at the last second.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Kurita Ryōkan

  • Position: Center / Defensive Tackle/ Long snapper
  • Jersey: 77
  • 3rd Year Student

The largest and strongest player in the Deimon Devil Bats, Ryokan Kurita is a kind-hearted individual, and the only thing bigger than his body is his heart. When playing, Kurita shouts his kiai “Funnuraba!”(Here I come!) when exerting extra effort. His biggest dream is to compete in the Christmas Bowl.

Special Moves

  • Kuri-Hammer – When he dives for a fumble, he crushes other players under him, which sometimes include fellow teammates.
  • Zone Blitz – Taking advantage of Kid’s quick but predictable pass, when one lineman tries to sack him, he will silently move to the place of the designated receiver, effectively interfering with the pass thanks to his build.
  • Kurita-Push/ Blast – After snapping the ball, Kurita serves as a blocking wall for Sena by charging five yards ahead and pushing any opposing blocker out of Sena’s path. This is also used for breaking through the defensive line of the Alexanders for two-point conversions, since no one on the opposing team can match Kurita’s drive and overall raw power.
  • Belly-Bounce (anime only) – Utilized his mass and fat to create a variation of the Hip-explosion, breaking down the line by thrusting their bellies forward, sending the linemen flying.
  • The Lonely Center – A trick play which has only Kurita defending in front of Hiruma while the other members of the Devil Bats are positioned to the left. However, this is also a risky tactic since the only one standing between the quarterback and the sacker is just one man, therefore, if the center failed, the quarterback will be totally defenseless.
  • Four-Point Stance – By standing on all fours, including his arms, Kurita can focus all his strength to tackle his enemy. However, he cannot be the one to hike the ball because of this stance.
  • Boxing Guard – Also known as a cover up in boxing terms, Kurita holds up his arms in front of his chest like a boxer. This allows him to take on the full-strength push from defender while getting inside his reach. Once inside, Kurita is able to use his weight and lower-body strength to push upward and force defender down.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Raimon Tarō / Monta

  • Position: Wide Receiver Split end / Cornerback
  • Jersey: 80
  • 1st Year student

The primary wide receiver of the Deimon Devil Bats. Although he is short in stature, he has remarkable skill in catching. Monta was originally a member of the baseball team, where he was an effective fielder due to his intense focus on catching. However, he was cursed with terrible throwing abilities (to almost impossible degrees, sometimes), making him fail to be on even the backup lineup for the club. He is best known for always going into a pose after a catch while yelling “CATCH MAX!” He also adds “Max” to nearly anything he describes while excited or determined.

Special Moves

  • Devil Back-Fire– When he’s ready to catch, he doesn’t look at the ball and catches backward.

  • Devil Back-Fire Neo– Catches the ball he quickly hide it between his legs.

————————————————————————————————————————–

The Ha-Ha Brothers

Kazuki Jumonji
  • Jersey: 51
  • Known for his Techniques
——————————
Koji Kuroki
  • Jersey: 52
  • Known for his Speed

——————————
Shozo Togano
  • Jersey: 52
  • Known for his Power

Three bullies initially bossed around Sena on their first day at Deimon. They joined the team because of Hiruma’s blackmailing. When they try to get back at them, they are unexpectedly recruited to become linemen for the football team, eventually sticking with the team to prove their toughness both to their superiors as well as to their opponents. They are notably poor and inexperienced at the game when they start out, but their eagerness to prove themselves makes them train vigorously and prove to be very capable linemen. Their nickname is from their weird habit of expression, with each one of the trio saying “Ha!?”, progressively louder in sequence.

Special Moves

  • Screen Pass – They intentionally let their opponents break through the line,
then shift over to make two-on-one blocks on the other side of the line of scrimmage.
  • Delinquent Death Blow – Also known as the Juvenile Deliquent Murder Method,
the Scumbag Scuffle and Rascal Killing.
  • Sweeper – A method in which linemen form a protective barrier in front of Eyeshield,
thereby clearing a path for him in a diagonal direction.
After the Death March, they are able to clear a very wide passage for him to go through.
  • Hip Explosion – Pushing out with their entire bodies, rather than just their arms.
By thrusting out their hips, they can deliver more force against opposing linemen.
  • Ha Ha Triple Attack – A three-on-one tackle with each Ha Ha brother using their own strengths
as a means of gradually nullifying quick and sturdy opponents.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Yukimitsu Manabu a.k.a The Ambusher

  • Position: Wide Receiver/Special Teams
  • Jersey: 16
  • 2nd Year Student

Yukimitsu is the bench player of the Deimon Devil Bats. He has a big forehead with a prominent widow’s peak, which appears consistent with the first signs of male pattern baldness. Yukimitsu has a talent for memorizing plays and pass routes. He is the third member of the “Deimon’s Smart Trio”, with Mamori and Hiruma. He trains just as hard, if not harder, than everyone else.

Special Moves

  • Option Route – Yukimitsu’s main skill lies in the ability to calculate the positions of the opposing team members and where they are going to run, in relation to where Hiruma can throw the ball, allowing him to instantly choose the place to receive the pass. His many years of studying allow him to make snap judgements as to which option to take.
  • In-motion – Before the actual play begins, a player behind scrimmage can move anywhere as long as it is behind scrimmage. This was useful for trick play and confusing enemies.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Komusubi Daikichi

  • Position: Offensive Guard/Defensive Tackle
  • Jersey: 55
  • 1st Year Student

Komusubi is one of the linemen of the Deimon Devil Bats. His given name of Daikichi means ‘Good Fortune.’ Though Daikichi is not very fast nor tall, but he makes up for it with his indomitable will and power.

Special Moves

  • Trap Block – Komusubi ignores the person in front of him at the line of scrimmage, then tackles from the side, anyone who tries to sack Hiruma. Opponents have very little force to counter a side attack.
  • Fast Start – Being smaller gives him a lower center of gravity, allowing Komusubi to get a flying head start than his opponent once the ball is snapped. He learned how to accomplish this feat by taking part in a Sumo competition.
  • Rip Tackle – To deal with taller opponents, (which is almost all the time), Komusubi pushes upwards during the tackle, utilizing the insane amounts of arm strength he inherited from his father. This allows him to flip over larger adversaries.
  • Extremely Low Altitude Devil Bat Dive – Combining his combination of his size and power, Komusubi attacks head on against an opponent in combination with Sena, who dives over them.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Ishimaru Tetsuo

  • Position: Fullback / Cornerback
  • Jersey: 30
  • 2nd Year Student

Ishimaru is the Devil Bats’ second running back. Ishimaru was recruited from the track team by Sena who took over half of his paper route for him Like Yukimitsu, Ishimaru also grows out his hair, but no one seems to notice. He is referred to as the Stealth Running Back, Shadowless God Of Death, or just “plain” Ishimaru. He is such a pushover that he’s willing to go with anything that happens around him. His catchphrase is, “It’s alright.”

Special Moves

  • Insubstantial: Due to Ishimaru’s lack of “presence” he can often make long runs or catch passes out of the backfield without the opposing team noticing until it’s too late.
  • Rodeo Drive: In preparation for the Christmas Bowl, Ishimaru trained with Riku Kaitani of Seibu, learning his running style to improve on his own track-honed speed.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Omosadake Futoshi

  • Position: Lineman
  • Jersey: 54
  • 1st Year Student

Omosadake is a chubby person who keeps his eyes shut all the time; he’s very lazy, to the point where even opening his own eyes feels tiring. The only thing that isn’t too troublesome for him is eating. he is revealed to have a weakness for mango pudding, which causes him to exert 100% effort. Naturally, this quickly makes him use up what little stamina he possesses.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Taki Natsuhiko

  • Position: Tight End/Safety/Outside Linebacker/H-Back/quarterback
  • Jersey: 37
  • 1st year student

A man with an odd and rather foolish attitude, and is apparently quite oblivious to the silliness of his actions.

Special Moves

  • Flexibility – Taki’s body is incredibly flexible, which allows him to bend and contort at extreme angles to make catches or blocks. It also helps him to makeshift his gravity point quickly.
  • Power Off Tackle/ Gentle Prince Tackle – Basically it’s a one-man Sweeper using just Natsuhiko to open a smaller path for Eyeshield to run through. He can also do this with helps with other player, though.
  • Prince Gentle Hurricane – Taki’s own variation of Sena’s Devil Bat Hurricane, he lifts up one of his legs and spins around with the football down the field.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Gen “Musashi” Takekura a.k.a The 60-yard Magnum

  • Position: Kicker/Linebacker/Punter
  • Jersey: 11
  • 2nd year student

The place kicker for the Devil Bats and one of the original three members of the team, along with Hiruma and Kurita. Musashi has an incredibly strong right leg which helps the Devil Bats on kickoffs, often pinning their opponents deep or forcing them to down the ball deep in their own territory, or in their end zone for a touchback. The title of the 60-yard Magnum was actually a lie fabricated by Hiruma, in order to make Musashi seem invincible.

Special Moves

  • Onside Kick – Basically, Musashi kicks the ball at an angle and a shorter distance than usual in order for his teammates to try to regain possession of the ball.
  • High-Altitude Kickoff – Due to his kicking ability, Musashi is able to launch the ball into the air to an unbelievable altitude. This causes the opposing team to fall back deep into their own territory. The longer the ball stays in the air, the more time the Devil Bats have to surround the enemy and pin them down near their own goal line.
  • Hyper High-Altitude Kickoff – The true strength of Musashi’s kick, when he kicked the biggest kick-off in the entire season, with the ball landing near the goal line. The ball stopped near the goal line, luckily, because of the snow.
  • 60 Yard Magnum – The legendary 60 yard field goal only achieved on the final play at the Christmas Bowl. The kick only just has the legs to dink off the crossbar twice, going through on the second bounce, gaining the 3 points that awarded the Devilbats the Championship.

There is little in life that is more frustrating that having deep feelings for someone who you’re “just friends” with. And there is little that is more fear-provoking than to consider unmasking those feelings to your friend because you run the risk of jeopardizing the friendships. For that reason, it is important to think carefully before telling your friend that you’re in love. It is also important to prepare emotionally once you’ve made the decision that you’re going to share your feelings to your friend. And finally, you’ll need to find the right way to tell your friend to ease the awkwardness of the situation.

Think Carefully

Before making your move think of this question first… “Are you certain that you’re in love?”. Make sure that what you really feel is love and not just like.Take some time to really get a good grasp on why you are interested in sharing this with your friend at the current time. Work through your thoughts to explore the reasons motivating you to share these feelings and make a thought-through decision about whether to proceed or to leave things as they are.

Be Emotionally Prepared

You should prepare emotionally for the consequences. You should consider what might happen to your life if your friend decides that he/she doesn’t share your feelings and doesn’t want to be as close to you for awhile after the revelation.

Do it in a Perfect Way

Finally, If you have really decided to confront your friend,  you should pick an appropriate time and setting for doing so. Don’t just burst out with your emotions one day as your having a quick lunch before returning to the office. Make sure that you have the time and privacy for a complete conversation about the topic.

Let the other person know what you are feeling and what you want to happen from here on out. Then wait and see what he/she has to say. You might be surprised to find that these feelings were shared all along and your friend just didn’t know how to tell you!

Being a good Dad and husband is something that I strive for every single day. Now that might sound a little over passionate but for me being a Dad and a husband is like playing the greatest game of all.  In order to play this game, it doesn’t mean that you need to be strict or mean but rather feel like it should be every man’s duty that upon making these life decisions that they take it seriously.

Once you make the decision to get married and/or have children you have got to understand that your life is no longer a single person experience nor will it ever be again.  Every decision from here on out should be a team decision

  • Make a Team (A good marriage)

A good marriage starts with a great foundation.  That great foundation simply has to be one built on trust, love and acceptance.  If you do not have any one of those three and going to get married – stop until you do.  These foundational pillars allow you to create a relationship where you both grow and prosper emotionally. You have to love every single part of your partner from head to toe and personality traits too. You have got to start enjoying each other’s company!

  • How to be a Good Teammate (Being a Good Husband)

What takes to be a good teammate?A good teammate is someone who trust their teammates and that people can trust, is giving advices instead of criticizing, is putting the team as their priority, encourages other, is passionate and dynamic, is versatile and mobile (asset to all sports) and who talks (communication is important in a team!)”.

Being a good teammate is similar to being a good husband. A good husband commit himself to his wife 100%.  Spend more time with his wife that with the guys. Make his wife feel that she’s the most important person in your life. Make her feel that you are really connecting with each other and you both enjoy what you are doing. Make her feel that her opinion is needed when making a decision. And the most important thing of all, a good husband always communicates with his wife and never dares to keep a secret.

  • How to be a Coach (Being a Good Dad)

Learning to be a good Dad takes time and patience just like being a coach. There are a few simple steps you can follow I’ve built myself that have worked out really well:

  1. Don’t ever let your work become more important. This one is super easy to fall into so make sure that you set aside work from home. Create time. Now I know some of you are thinking create time? How? By scheduling a preset time for play with your children you will in essence create time that never existed before.
  2. Eat dinner together as a family. The benefits of this exercise are just too numerous to list here but include lower chances of drug use, improved school grades and many more.
  3. Tell them you love them often.  Children who see emotion from their father and tender love will be more open to learning that love when they have their children.

So there you have it. If you are a father, the universe has given you a chance to not just show up but to play your best. Playing your best at being a good dad and husband is like playing the greatest game of all.

Looking for sites to be a guest blogger is not easy as you think. You might say you’ll just type in the search box the word “guess author” and then KAZAAAM! You need to think of a way on how to look for best guest author site. Here are some of my tactics on how to look for guest author sites.

  • Google Search
    • This is always the place where I begin with my internet research because it gives quick, accurate results. Depending on what you know about your niche, you can use Google for two things. The first is simply to help you find sites in your industry by searching for things like “niche blog” (changing niche for your industry). Next, you could search for things like “niche guest posts” or niche guest posts” to find sites that want your content.
  • Niche Browsing
    • There are sites in your industry that  accept blog posts on their site. Therefore, all you have to do is simply look  around the top sites in your industry and look for the sites that is best to put your article. Look for text like “write for us,” “become an author” and “submit your article”. These are all indications the site wants guest posts so click on these buttons or contact the blogger right away.
  • Google Blog Search
    • Google blog search is a blog search engine. Through this, we can easily find blogs that are accepting guest authors. If you type something you may have typed into the regular Google search box such as “niche guest post” or “niche article by” then you should find numbers of interesting results. If you remove the niche section it’s possible you’ll find a tons of sites that offer guest posting, but are not relevant to your industry.

There are lots of ways to find people to write for in your niche but for starters this should be more than enough.

I exaggerate the fact that posting on forums and commenting on blogs properly will help you become visible to the public and eventually build up a mammoth traffic to your website. This will only happen if you are just using right keywords properly to relevant and useful forum postings and blog commenting.

If you want to have fast, free and easy way of earning money, your website is one of the main key for it. All you have to do is to apply the right strategies that can be a fundamental wheel to drive visitors into you website.

Forum posting and blog commenting are the two most effective, fastest and affordable strategies to use because you don’t have to pay a single dime to do these things. I want to share some helpful Do’s and Don’ts to get things right.

1. Do not post a huge advertisement when posting on forums or commenting on a blog. Most people will get aggravated and will just simply overlook you post.

2. Do not spam people with email or in a forum. It is just not the right way to do it. Most often than not, you will get banned or blocked from the forum site or blog that you are following. Not to mention the fact that you will get a not so nice reputation which, of course, you don’t want.

3. Do find relevant forums or blog sites that you would want to follow or support. It is important to read and study the forum’s rules and regulations to avoid any troubles.

4. Do build your reputation first before you post a link to your site. This can be done by adding up friends or followers to your postings. You will not get banned from the forum sites easily if you have a strong reputation.

5. Do use and maximize the search engine by indicating your keywords or key phrases. This is one steadfast way of linking to your niche market.

6. Do post articles or comments that are relevant to the topic, interesting enough for readers, tell something that they do not know, and most importantly, give something of value to others.

Link Fishing

Posted: June 16, 2010 in Articles, General Views, Link building, SEO

Fishing for links is not just an ordinary kind of task. It,may sound so easy but it’s not.

It was a great day for link-building when my manager told me about my new task. It was about a site for fishing that we need to link-build. She told me to look for sites that needs to have a good page rank, offer them $25 and request to link from it.

You may say that it’s just easy because we’re offering money in exchange of a link, but it’s not. At first I also thought that it was just a simple task but I was wrong.

I was not able to find any site that will accept my offer. I sent out almost 50 requests and out of 50, I got zero positive reply. I was so pissed off and hopeless.

I continued looking for sites and saw this article about fishing.I read the article and I was extremely lucky to learn this lesson that helped me, not only in my link-building task, but also in becoming a strong person. I’ve learned to persevere. Just like in fishermen, link-builders also needs to have perseverance in order for them to acquire links.

Fishing for links is not just an ordenary kind of task. It,may sound so easy but it’s not.Yes, you may have the skills in linkbuilding but you must have the perseverance or else you’ll end up empty.

This week was a busy day for designing creative stuff, sketching and doing Photoshop works. I was instructed by Hyz to create a design for VAT’s desktop wallpapers and IM avatars. I was so excited that right after she told me about the task I immediately sit in from of my computer and look for some artistic designs in the net.I was looking for a spark to start this art task of mine. And guess what???

I ended up spark-less!!!

Then while browsing the net I stumbled up this blog about creativity and I saw this line saying:  “Creativity is a response to something, not a sleight-of-hand that pulls something out of the air.” After that I felt something weird. It seems like I was possessed by an “Artistic God”. Like a magic act,  5 designs came out of nowhere.

I never thought I’ll ended up having this designs. I’m so happy with the result so I told my self, I’m not an artist alright but I’ve got talents. LOL 🙂

Finding a job is difficult. But what might be even more difficult for some people is ciphering out how to get used to the new environment that they are working in when they do finally have a new job. There are office politics to learn, rules to follow, things to get used to … and plus it’s just a big change that takes some adjusting to get used to.

Here are some tips for handling the adjustment period that happens when you first start a new job:

* Be friendly to people. Any job is better when you are friends with the people that you are working with. You probably don’t want to immediately start going to happy hours with these folks since you don’t really know the office politics of the place yet but you should definitely be friendly to everyone that you are meeting. Be conversationally and actually listen to what these people tell you. The most important thing is that this is going to make it easier to get used to the new work place.

* Create some personal space for yourself at the office. Whether you have your own office, a cubicle or just a desk of your own, there must be some space there that is just for you. In this space, you should put some personal effects such as photos. This will help you to feel more comfortable in the new work environment.

* Watch and listen. Ultimately, the key to getting used to a new job and the new environment that you are working in is to figure out the ins and outs of the place. The best way to do that is to pay attention to what is going on around you. Learn the rules and policies by noticing what’s going on in the office or work space. The more you learn, the more that you’re going to fit in.

* Keep lots of lists. At the beginning of the day, you should make a “to do” list. At the end of the day, you should make a list of things that went well. These lists will keep you organized and focused on what is good about this new job. By keeping all of these lists, you are going to make yourself more prepared for the job at hand and this will help you to get more comfortable with the new place.

* Be punctual. You don’t have to be there all of the time but fifteen minutes before and after the time that you’re supposed to be at work can give you more time than you would imagine to just start getting used to the place. This time can be used to get to know the building and surrounding area, explore the computer software, set up your desk the way that you like it or chat with people who are also there.

* Stay positive. One of the things that makes it difficult to adjust to a new job is negativity. If you assume that people don’t like you or you automatically make judgments about things at the office that you aren’t going to like then you’re going to find it difficult to approach the job with a positive attitude. Try to focus on the things that you like so far about the work and stay away from anyone that is saying negative things on the job.

* Try to get involved in a project. You are going to have to spend the first few days or weeks of a job just learning the job but try to get your own little project going or to join a team project as soon as possible after starting the new job. This will help you to feel more involved and invested in the business and it will help you to be more excited about your new work.

* Relax and be confident. Accept the fact that you probably aren’t going to get used to the new job immediately. You are going to make some mistakes. You are going to step on some toes. You are going to get confused or you’re going to confuse others by doing things differently than what they’re used to. It’s okay. Relax. The thing that you really need to get used to a new job is just time. Let yourself have it. Soon enough, you’re going to feel like you’ve been there forever!

Getting used to a new job or a new work environment isn’t easy but it doesn’t have to be particularly difficult either. Just follow my lead and surely you’ll be able to get through all the shake and bake of your new work environment. ^^,

I am not an Internet expert, nor am I an English major but I do have some know-hows in writing on the web. As a greenhorn to Hubpages I am still learning about what works and what doesn’t work on here, but I felt that I can be able to help fellow newbies by sharing some of my experience in making hubs.

Here are some tactics on how to make your hub more enthralling!!!

1. The Best Content Rules!

When I read other hubs I tend to look at several things; the most predominant thing for me is content. If the Hub is very interesting, and especially if it has an engaging introduction then I am more likely to read the whole hub, and more likely to click some links.

A hub with 100 words 50 pictures and then hundreds of marketing ads does not appeal to me as it is simply commercial. If I wanted to see hundreds of marketing ads then I’d simply go to Amazon’s site or Ebay.

With that in mind I try to write hubs that give the reader all the information they need about a particular subject, not just the ‘icing’.

2. Spelling and Grammar

There’s nothing worse than reading a hub and finding many spelling mistakes and badly written content. Hubpages has an in-built spell checker so there’s no reason for any spelling mistakes.

My advice is to write your hubs in Word or another word processor and use the advanced options available to check spelling and grammar. Additionally, even after this you must proof read – you may have spell a word incorrectly, but in itself that word is actually a real word so a spell check would not find it.

3. Formatting – setting up your Hub.

Formatting of a hub page is one of the most unobserved parts of the design process. Yes you’ve got rich content; yes you’ve got some astonishing pictures; and yes you have some great products to sell – simply placing them in a huge ‘line’ often doesn’t work. Imaginative designs of a hub, using sub-headings – embedding pictures and advertising within the text (using the powerful features of hub design) and ensuring your content isn’t overshadowed by advertising and pictures is very important.

Hub pages allows you to really do a good job with the format of the hub – this includes placing videos or pictures to the side of text etc; formatting text by using italics underline etc.

It’s astonishing what a little tweak to the formatting here and there will do.

Those are the 3 basic parts that you need to improve in making your hubs more appealing.

A Tip from a Hubber

Posted: October 13, 2009 in Articles, General Views

I have friends who have recently expressed interest in Hubbing. They asked me a lot of questions about my experience doing it and as I ponder on it, I decided maybe I could give these folks some tips, though I am far from any kind of expert.

Here are some tips on how to Score High in Hubpages:

The prime purpose of your Hub is to get your message across in an eloquent yet simple way, so that it is easily understood but also keeps the reader’s interest to the finish line.” I recommend writing your Hub on Microsoft Word first. Do not stop to edit as you go. Just let the words flow until you have written what you want to express. Then be patient.

To edit my words, I prefer to read them out loud. Anything not well said, fix it. I especially try not to repeat myself or use the same word too many times. If you have made a point, there is no need to make it again. If you notice the same verb or noun several times in a paragraph, think of replacement words to use instead for variety. Look for any words you can simply delete without changing your message. The less words the better. While we are on that subject, let’s talk about Hub length.

Once you have created the article, look for unique and interesting pictures that will best attract attention of hubbers. With this your hub will gain traffic and will surely increase your score.

Once you have created a great reputation in hub pages, you will surely have lots of fans following your hubs… And by the way, make sure to make the most interesting and informative articles as you can… These will boost you up to the top…
